My paintings shine a fresh light on the colours, spaces and patterns that nature produces so effortlessly.

My creative process starts with photography – capturing a fleeting moment in the natural world, then homing in on the most interesting shapes to inspire my own block colour interpretation. Focusing on negative space or stark, contrasting shadows, my paintings are rooted in often-overlooked organic forms, explored through a variety of stylised filters.

I have been immersed in contemporary art for several years, having studied fine art at Birmingham Institute of Art and worked at Sotheby's Institute London, coordinating its Contemporary Art MA programme.
